REimagine Programs

We are currently recruiting ExEd programs for 2024-25. If you are interested in participating in the REimagine ExEd program, please contact Laura Todd at lhammack@purdue.edu.

REimagine ExEd is an experiential education program review process offered by the Office of Experiential Education (ExEd). Through REimagine ExEd, the Office of ExEd seeks to come alongside select Purdue University experiential education programs and provide support on the journey of continual quality improvement. This process is envisioned both as a way to enhance existing programs and as a way to build programs’ capacity for ongoing self-assessment and continuous improvement.

ExEd program administrators will undergo a three-phase review of their program over the course of a four-month term:

REimagine Timeline

This program is best suited for an Experiential Education (ExEd) program that has been in existence for at least three years, preferably longer. This length of time will allow for the review to build on a record of performance over time. The Office of ExEd is focused on undergraduate programs and inclusive of both credit-bearing and co-curricular programs. Participating ExEd programs are provided a self-study guide and template to ensure all necessary information is included.

This process is designed both to support program review and improvement in the short term and to equip your program for ongoing continuous quality improvement in the long term. In the short term, participating programs will benefit from the opportunity to review their ExEd program in a structured way, leading to a self-study report. Programs will receive an informative report from the peer review team, highlighting both strengths and opportunities of the program. Programs will have support from the Office of Experiential Education to examine what they've learned and create an action plan for program renewal. In the long term, programs can use resources, knowledge, and skills gained during this process to develop a self-driven approach to continuous quality improvement.
