Experiential Education Fellows and Scholars
The Office of Experiential Education has designed two new professional development programs to be launched this fall: ExEd Fellows and ExEd Scholars. Both programs are open to those at Purdue's main campus, which includes Indianapolis and West Lafayette. Details about each program are included below, and applications for each program can be found on the ExEd Fellows and ExEd Scholars pages. Applications for each program are due by Mar. 31, 2025.
ExEd Fellows. The Office of ExEd invites applications for the semester-long reimagined ExEd Fellows Program designed to foster the development of ExEd courses and projects, as well as strengthen collaborative efforts and outcomes with external partners. Faculty (including non-tenure track), lecturers, staff and graduate student instructors in West Lafayette and Indianapolis seeking to implement an experiential education course or project in the 2025-2026, or 2026-2027 academic year are encouraged to apply. Up to $2,000 is available per project, and projects or courses must involve an external partner (community partner, industry partner, etc.). However, fellows do not need to have their external partners identified in order to apply or participate in the fellowship. For more information, including a link to the application, visit the ExEd Fellows Page.
ExEd Scholars. The Office of ExEd invites applications from faculty and staff with an interest in publishing experiential education scholarship for the Experiential Education (ExEd) Scholar Program for Fall 2025. The purpose of the ExEd Scholars program is to foster a community of ExEd scholar-practitioners, publish an ExEd research or scholarly project and elevate ExEd scholarship at Purdue.
To participate in the ExEd Scholar program, you must be a Purdue faculty or staff member who has experience designing, leading or implementing an experiential education program for Purdue students and have a research project that has completed the initial data collection stage. ExEd Scholars will receive $1500 in funds to use towards accomplishing their scholarly goals. For more information, including a link to the application, visit the ExEd Scholars Page.
